Hail damage on commercial roofs is often misunderstood. The evidence varies with roof type and building condition, and the lack of standardization for quantifying hail damage creates confusion.

To address this lack of industry standardization, HailSolve has created a standard for hail damage analysis.

We document the visibility of impacts, quantity of impacts, and assess potential lifespan impact to each roof section.

HailSolve is Nashville-based, but our inspectors travel nationwide.

Technicians document the visibility of hail damage on each roof section, rating it on a scale from obscure to obvious based on how visible the damage is from different heights.

Technicians mark squares on each roof section, count the hail strikes in each square, and document their concentration on a scale from sparse to widespread.

Lifespan Impact

Technicians rate the potential lifespan impact to a roof on a 4-tier scale—Not Applicable, Unlikely, Possible, and Likely—based on the roof system, damage severity, and extensive industry experience.
